Obama deserves the nobel peace prize

Those who are saying he does not deserve it are just hating. Actually Obama's story is the biggest story of racial unity in the world, if this isn't peace i don't know what is! We are talking about racism.. something that caused death, indignity, inhumanity, war, discrimination and many more despicable things.. anything that counters this best defines peace!

  1. Well, in my editorial that I wrote about, I'm not "hating" President Obama at all when I said that he doesn't deserve the Nobel Peace Prize.

Simply put, he hasn't done anything yet that really warrens it. In fact, he was nominated for the prize only after being in the White House as president for not even two weeks.

I think he can achieve great things that will win him the award but he hasn't done that yet.

  2. OK.. I am not saying that everybody who is against Obama's award is a hater but most of them are.. Lately some people have been exaggerating anything that make Obama appear as a failure, downplaying his accomplisments and frustrating his efforts.. now that's hating!

  3. Tell me about it. Try getting into the discussion about him being a U.S. citizen and the nuts really come out and play.

But I would like to think that President Obama is on the road to doing a lot of good.

And let's face it, not every president is going to do everything right and even if he runs into a burning house and saves some kids, someone will be there to blast him.

No matter who sits in the White House, being the president really is a thankless job.

  4. Actually i can rule u out as a hater because you've said "president Obama is on the road to doing alot of good". I also totally agree that there are people who will find something bad to say about good people.. the kind of people who could kick a puppy. There were alot of people some of them more deserving than Obama who could get the award but this doesn't mean that we should respond to Obama's winning of the award with criticism!

  5. I'm not sure if you had a chance to read my editorial but in the first sentence I congratulated him. It is an honor and let's face it, he didn't ask for this award.

But you're right, I don't hate the president. I praise or criticize both Republicans and Democrats. I really call it like I see it. The only problem is that I don't have enough time to do it all.
